Growing communities and teaching accountability
Pahokee, Florida
We are rebuilding stronger than ever after the hurricane. This is Vincent Smith's hometown and our pilot project for the #EATING gardens.
Flint, Michigan
Flint is a town in Michigan and home of our second garden outreach. Flint has hope on the horizon.

Ann Arbor, Michigan
Team Gardens also works with senior citizens. We work with a local alzheimers and assisted living residential program to provide food and recreational gardening to older citizens. This year we grew a lot of vegetables and herbs and some huge watermelons.
Love Football. Plant Gardens.
Studies show that gardening has positive impacts on communities. Greenspaces lower crime and increase property values.

Dedicated to change.
In 2012, University of Michigan football players Vincent Smith and Martavious Odoms decided that they wanted to give back in a meaningful way.
After discovering their hometown of Pahokee, Florida was once "The Winter Vegetable Capital of the World", Smith and Odoms founded the #EATING project.
Team Gardens goal is to put a garden in every athletes hometown.
